Ø Comprehensive Plan Update
Planner Amos reviewed the update she had received from Mr. Herd; all members were given a copy of this update (attached here-to).
Chairperson Smith asked if Mr. Herd had given a date of when he will be meeting with the Commissions and Planner Amos said he has not as he is still waiting on certain information.
Comments on the update should be sent to Planner Amos quickly.
Chairperson Smith said he and Planner Amos had visited Homewood Plum Creek that day, the retirement community similar to the one being like the one Mr. Rosenfeld is proposing for Strasburg. Planner Amos said the rezoning application should be ready for the July meeting. The area is currently zoned as Planned Development and would need to be either rezoned to R2 or R3.
Mr. Redmon asked how many jobs this could bring to the area. The project in Hanover has 671 residents and 358 employees.
