Fauber, Town Manager e-mail: strasmgr@shentel.net The manager is charged with the responsibility for a smoothly functioning government on a daily basis and has responsibility and authority as conferred upon him by Council. Kevin Fauber has been with the Town of Strasburg since 1986. Mr. Fauber has the responsibility of managing a 4 million dollar budget for a Town of 4,017 citizens with full services including planning, zoning, finance, personnel, police, water, sewage, and public works. The Town Manager is a charter appointed position of the Town Council and is directly accountable to the Council for day-to-day operations of the Town. The functions the manager carries out include the coordination of the departments within the Town of Strasburg, acting as the legislative liaison for Council, preparation of the Town's annual budget, providing communication with other agencies of government at the local, state and federal level, developing options for Council consideration and resolving problems which are relative to Town services.

Mullins, Director of Finance e-mail: twnclerk@shentel.net The Finance and Human Resources Department provides administrative support services to the citizens of Strasburg with a staff of four full-time employees. The department serves as a first contact general information center for all Town departments. The main focus of the department is to handle the day-to-day financial and human resource functions of the Town government. The department's main responsibility is to mail all types of tax bills, water bills, vehicle decal registrations, business license applications and bills, and to collect payment for these items. The department handles the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as well as all payroll and personnel functions. The Finance Department also handles water and sewer billing changes, cut off and connections. Nora Amos e-mail: plan_zon@shentel.net The Planning and Zoning Department is under the direction of the Town Planner and guides the physical development of the town. The department facilitates the community's efforts to plan for and direct its own physical, recreational, environmental, and economic future. Examples of the department's work include implementation of the Comprehensive Plan; administration, maintenance and enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance; review of development site plans; processing of special use permits, sign permits, variances, rezoning, and general plan amendments. The department also provides staff support for the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Architectural Review Board.
Tim Sutherly, Chief of Police e-mail: chief@strasburgva.com The Strasburg Police Department is a professional and progressive organization consisting of 14 sworn and civilian personnel. The Strasburg Police Department empowers its officers to become leaders in their assigned community with the goal of improving the quality of life for all citizens. The diversity of services provides to the community offers opportunities for specialized training assignments. The many interesting fields of law enforcement include patrol, traffic enforcement, criminal investigation, evidence collection, training, bike patrol, and crime prevention.
James R. Tewalt, Director of Utility Plants e-mail: utl@shentel.net The Utilities Department provides Strasburg citizens with high quality water and sewer service. The Water Treatment Plant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Strasburg's water production, water pumping stations, and storage facilities. The division's goal is to produce aesthetically pleasing and chemically pure water that meets the quality standards established by the Safe Drinking Water Act in sufficient quantity to meet the citizens' needs and to ensure an adequate supply for fire protection. The Wastewater Treatment Plant is responsible for the safe and efficient treatment of all wastewater generated within the Strasburg service area, and the subsequent stabilization and disposal of solid wastes produced to ensure the protection of public health and environment.

Rhodes, Director of Public Works e-mail: pubworks@shentel.net The Department of Public Works is composed of 14 full time employees who are responsible for maintaining: all roads within the corporate limits; 6,780 feet of storm sewer; 203 pieces of town equipment; a cemetery; and a public park. The Department of Public Works maintains and repairs all sanitary sewer and water distribution lines that have been accepted into the town's system. The sewer system consists of more than 102,000 linear feet of gravity sewer lines ranging in size from 6 to 24 inches. The water system consists of more than 98,000 linear feet of water main ranging in size from 2 to 12 inches. The department is also responsible for new service installations, fire hydrant maintenance and locating water and sewer lines for contractors working in the town's service area. The department includes a director, a foreman, an inspector, and 11 crew personnel. The department is located at the Public Works Facility at 495 Miller Drive.
