Incentives

The Town of Strasburg has currently adopted incentives for downtown revitalization efforts:

1. Real Estate Tax Incentives - Partial exemption to the town real estate tax for up to 15 years equal to the increase in assessed value that results from rehabilitation or renovation. Available within the Historic District.
2. Arts and Tourism District - Two-tiered incentive allowing those with a less than an $25,000 capital investment to be exempt for up to five consecutive years from the town's business, professional and occupational license taxes and fees. Those with a $25,000 or more capital investment in their property are entitled to the above, and to have the water and sewer fees reduced by up to 35 percent for up to five consecutive years. 3. Facade Improvement Grant (FIG) - A 50/50 matching grant open to commercial and mixed-use properties within the Community Commercial zone to improve and enhance their external building components. Applications are due on September 15th, with a maximum request of $10,000. View the application and guidelines below for more information.
