Strategic Initiatives

Strategic Initiatives is a department that focuses on both the business development and quality of life within Strasburg, Virginia. Our department includes large and small scale business support, parks & recreation, our Visitor Center and tourism efforts, marketing, social media, programming, and community engagement. Economic Development is a group of activities and policy interventions that result in a net gain of money in the community. For the Town of Strasburg, Economic Development activities are focused around the development of the Northern Shenandoah Business Park, business recruitment, business retention and business expansion. We work in partnership with Shenandoah County Economic Development and Tourism, the Shenandoah Valley Partnership and Virginia Economic Development Partnership to get resources including incentives, workforce development programs and more for our businesses.
