The Town of Strasburg is proud to offer a variety of parks, recreational facilities, programs, and outdoor amenities that enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. Whether you're looking to play sports, enjoy nature, spend time with family, or participate in community programs, Strasburg's parks provide opportunities for recreation throughout the year.
Strasburg Town Park
Located along Park Road at the east end of Queen Street, Strasburg Town Park serves as the community's premier recreational destination. The park features:
• Large playground area
• Tennis courts
• Basketball courts
• Pickleball courts
• Sand volleyball court
• Soccer fields
• Little League and softball fields
• Community swimming pool
• Skatepark
• Large and small dog parks
• Picnic shelters and pavilion areas available for reservation
• Newly renovated restroom facilities
• Access to the Riverwalk Trail and the North Fork of the Shenandoah River

Riverwalk Trail
The Strasburg Riverwalk begins at Town Park and follows the scenic North Fork of the Shenandoah River. This approximately 0.9-mile gravel trail offers stunning views of the river and Signal Knob, one of the most recognizable features of the Massanutten Mountain Range.
The trail connects Town Park to Strasburg High School on Ram Drive and includes benches, pet waste stations, and opportunities to enjoy the area's natural beauty.
River Access
The North Fork of the Shenandoah River is easily accessible from Town Park. A public boat landing and gravel parking area provide convenient access for kayaks, canoes, tubes, and small shallow-draft boats.
Many visitors enjoy floating downstream from the Deer Rapids access point, located approximately five miles upstream. Those traveling downstream from Strasburg should exercise caution due to a dam located several miles below Town Park. Portable restroom facilities are available near the river access parking area.
Recreation Programs
The Town of Strasburg offers a variety of recreational programs and adult sports leagues throughout the year, providing opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active and connect with the community.
Seasonal offerings include:
• Spring Kickball League
• Fall Kickball League
• Open Play Pickleball (April through November)
Participants may register as individuals or teams. The Town also partners with Shenandoah County Parks & Recreation to provide swim lessons and aquatic programming for all ages.
